Broker's Comments

***Diesel sports cruiser project boat***

Here we have a good sized diesel Regal 277 XL sports cruiser. She has been out of the water for a good while and has been left ashore. She is a rare diesel version having had a mercruiser 1.7 Diesel engine fitted at some point, which looks to have been professionally installed. The engine was last serviced in November 2018. This is a quality engine that the owner advises ran well when last used.

The boat offers a good sized sports cruiser with two double berths with good upholstery inside and out although it all needs a good clean as she has been left standing for a good while. She has good internal space and a large heads and shower compartment and a vast cockpit being the xl variant. She has a good usable canopy and needs a good clean up throughout.

To my view, the batteries are all long since dead and will need replacing and as such rain water has collected in the bottom of the engine bay as the bilge pump has no power to pump it out.

The outdrive bellows will need replacing on this boat before launching and I would advise that the engine and drive are both checked over and serviced professionally prior to launching.

This is offered at a very realistic price and as a "project boat" and should be fully inspected by any potential buyer. This could well be a simple and quick project to get her back on the water and looking fab as she was in regular use a few years back. However, as a project she is very much sold as seen and inspected. So she could well be the bargain of the year! If you are handy and want a good sized sports boat with a respected diesel motor then this is your opportunity.

She has a mooring the the marina too that may be able to be allocated to the new owner by agreement with the marina.
