We obtain genuine enquiries for all types of boats from RIB's, power boats, sports fishers, larger cabin cruisers & motor yachts to racing dinghy's, motor sailers & sailing yachts of all sizes.

As Yacht Brokers when a boat is sold our job doesn't stop there, in fact it's just the start of building a strong relationship with the new owner. We have recently sold this lovely Sunseeker Camargue 55 (see picture) to a buyer from Norway and were pleased to help him through the whole process of buying the boat, which for a lot of people can be quite a daunting prospect, particularly in cases when they are very remote from the boat after agreeing the purchase. Boatshed provide a step-by-step guide which explains the process of buying a boat which you can read by clicking on the following link:- How to buy a boat

In this particular case the buyer bought the boat without a survey but we arranged for the boat to be lifted out at the local yard, Nautic Center Nautic Center, here in Empuriabrava, and stayed on site whilst the boat was lifted out by the travel-lift and rested securely on the hard. Once she had been washed off we took photographs of the hull to give the buyer peace of mind of her condition. We also arranged the transport of the boat from Empuriabrava to Fredrikshaven in Denmark using www.glogau-yachttransporte.com ensuring that the boat would arrive within the buyers timescales. We were also on site for the loading of the boat on to the transporter to keep a watchful eye that no damage occurred to the boat during this process, accidents do happen in boat yards sometimes and we have seen them!

Our presence in the yard on loading day was justified as once the boat had been loaded on to the transporter we were told by the driver that the load was too high to pass under some bridges on its route to Denmark. So all hands on deck, we quickly got someone from the yard to remove everything on the radar arch and the driver lowered the transporter to its absolute limits and we were just inside the height limit by 4cms and still on schedule.! A big thanks to the two drivers and everyone in the Nautic Center for all your help. Excellent team work all round.

We kept in touch with the transport company and the buyer during the boats transit so the buyer was aware of it’s likely arrival in Denmark. It all went well and the boat arrived at in Denmark two days ahead of its scheduled arrival with a very happy buyer taking delivery. The new owner then had the enjoyable task of taking her by sea to her new home in Norway. We were on hand to make sure the new owners registration process in Norway went as smoothly as possible, which can be a challenge with regulations varying throughout Europe but at BoatshedCostaBrava.com we realise that buying a boat is a major investment so we like to go the extra mile and help as much as possible to make the experience as positive and stress free as possible.

The end result, a very happy vendor and buyer, both very complimentary of our service.

"I can’t think of anything that you could have done better in this process regarding quick feedback and making me feel that I had your full attention during the whole process.
I always felt that you were serious and made me feel comfortable that everything would be okay regarding all papers required and transport of the boat.
This was my first purchase of a boat abroad, and based on the experience with you and Steve; I will do it again if the right boat is for sale.
I am very satisfied with you at Boatshed Costa Brava as a broker and can warmly recommend you to anyone else.
So if you ever need a reference in Norway do not hesitate to give them my phone number.
Best regards"
