Broker's Comments

The Westerly Centaur has had a renewed interest with yachtsman wanting a low cost boat. 2448 were built making them the most successful British yacht ever built. They were designed and built, well able to withstand adverse weather conditions. With her bilge keels she has the ability to dry out in sandy harbours and beaches or on those low cost moorings.
This one I have known since she was new. She has had only 2 owners. The sails are in good order and her owner says the engine runs well however the bad points are the headlining has dropped in the main saloon and been removed in the forward cabin. Her decks need painting and she needs to be updated but good centaurs are hard to find.
The accommodation is the B layout with a centre table which converts to a double berth. There is a quarterberth and a forward cabin with 2 berths which can also be made into a double. The galley is to starboard and the heads are on the port side with a hanging locker opposite.
This boat needs some work to bring her up to scratch but this is reflected in the price.
