Broker's Comments

2019 is the year that we celebrate 50 years of the Westerly Centaur, an iconic design from the pen of Laurent Giles. I remember being at the London Boat Show when the Westerly Centaur was launched onto the market. There were 2,444 made, making them the most successful british design.
She is renowned for her seaworthy abilities making her a good family boat or a single hander and she has the advantage of being able to dry out on sandy beaches or harbours and to use drying moorings.
This example has the B layout, with a forward cabin with a double berth and the heads are to port with a hanging locker opposite. In the main saloon the galley is to starboard with a dinette table opposite, which can convert into a double berth and there are a 2 quarter berths aft.
She has a large deep cockpit with high cockpit sides and wide sidedecks making her safe while under passage.
Internally this boat is in very good condition, I think she is one of the best I have ever seen although she could do with a clean externally and she has some osmosis which is not unusual in boats of this age.
If you are in the market for a Centaur or a safe 26 footer this is a boat you must view.
