The engine is a Beta Marine Beta 43 fitted in 2005, it has a TMC260 water cooled mechanical gearbox driving a three blade fixed prop through a Centaflex type 16 damper coupling. A Tideseal stern gland is fitted with shaft bonding brush gear. There are two control panels for the engine, one in the cockpit and one down below.
The engine is over spec. for this boat and, as a result, will give 6.5 kts @ 1800 rpm. 2000 rpm will give 7kts at 2.5 litres per hour. A new 30 ltr calorifier was fitted in 2015.
The engine is fitted with the upgraded 100amp alternator and also a 3.5kVA travel pack. This is a sine wave mains generator driven off the engine that gives 240v AC when the engine is running. It will run electric kettle, microwave, pressure washer, power tools etc.
The engine alternator charges four batteries; One engine start, two domestic and a dedicated fridge battery all through electronic isolator switches and ACRs (automatic charge relays).
There is also a mains charger that runs on shore power and an Aero 6 Gen wind generator which charges the domestic and fridge batteries.
Good all round access to the engine is via removal of the companionway steps and two large panels in the aft cabin walkthrough.

The design of the accommodation has been well thought out with each living space having its own area, resulting in a ‘cosy’ feeling throughout.
Descending the companionway you enter the pilot house which, because of the all round windows, feels very light and airy. To port can be found the well designed galley with 2 burner cooker, oven and grill, stainless steel sink, front opening under counter fridge and ample storage throughout. Work surface area has been increased by covers for both the cooker and sink.
The large aft cabin is accessed via a walkthrough to starboard aft of the galley and comprises a fore and aft double berth to starboard and a single berth to port. Unique to this boat is a large triple wardrobe.
Starboard of the companionway is the spacious heads, forward of which is the well equipped navigation station and chart table which will take a half sized Admiralty chart and on which is the Yeoman Chart Plotter.
Further steps down lead to the comfortable saloon with U-shaped seating to port and further seating to starboard, which, with use of a small trotter box, extends to create a single berth. The saloon table has been designed to sit off the centre line to port allowing a clear walkway to the forward cabin.
The forward cabin has 2 single berths with the starboard berth positioned slightly higher offering further storage underneath.
The interior of the boat has been constantly maintained as required including, new carpets and curtains in 2016, new solid teak doors in 2014 and a new shower. There are also ample 240v sockets throughout.

Commentaires du Broker
It is evident that, as you walk around this boat, that she has been equipped and maintained with safety at sea foremost in mind. She is perhaps one of the most well equipped boats I have come across in recent years, as close examination of her inventory will show. This is not surprising as her current owner has made many trips across the channel.
Her cockpit is safe and deep and her decks are wide which allows for ease in moving around. Not often found on more modern boats is her foredeck pit which adds greater safety to deployment and recovery of the anchor. Her hull has been recently polished and has scrubbed up well and of course her lifting keel gives this boat even greater flexibility, particularly if you wish to explore the many creeks around our coastline.
As with many boats of this age, she does look a little dated below although, in my view, easily rectified with modern lighting, some updating and coat or two of varnish in the galley. The forecabin bulkhead would also benefit from re-varnishing. In other areas the woodwork and furniture is in excellent condition, particularly in the saloon area with of course new upholstery and fitted carpets.
If this boats meets your requirements it is definitely worth adding to your list of boats to view. Oh, I forgot, her owner is 2nd coxswain on the local lifeboat also and the local marine engineer. Need we say more!
Please note that this boat is still stored ashore for winter. Photographs will be updated once the boat is recommissioned for the forthcoming season.
