Solid capable boats with a proven track record (700 built), Prouts were built to go to sea not fill charter fleets or sail at 20 Knots. Bulkheads are bonded to the hull, there are 4 built in buoyancy compartments and all sail controls lead to the cockpit, for safety and easy short handed sailing. The Snowgoose Elite is a rugged, sea kindly boat and folklore has it that over 100 have circumnavigated some more than once.
This example, first launched in Hong Kong in October 1993, has had little use and has seen many recent upgrades during the period 2010 / 2011, including:
