Broker's Comments
This boat was viewed and photographed by Matt Popovic of Boatshed Lake Michigan.
As I was walking into the indoor storage area, I was reminiscing about growing up sailing on a 27’ sailboat on Lake Michigan. And when I saw her silver gray hull and her sleek, easy to point up wind, lines, I instantly had the urge to tow her down to the lift and sail her among the lake’s icebergs. Of course the rap of the 50 knot wind and the 20 degree temperature brought me back to my senses, but the feeling is there none the less.
With some light maintenance and a good detail this 27’ O’day should definitely be sea worthy of any larger body of water. She has been sailed on fresh water her entire life, and has been looked after kindly by her present and previous owners. Her special shoal keel enables her to maneuver easily through shallows, and her large helm makes navigation simple.
