Broker's Comments
The Hillyard 9 tonne 36 ft sailing boat is one of the good old classics, that are very popular on the market
These boats have a great build quality reputation and this fits very well with my personal experience when viewing this particular boat.
This yacht is an old wooden boat with great restoration potential. Although she's been left on the same mooring for over ten years she still makes an impression of a well built and solid boat with plenty of life left in her.
After a couple of hours spent on the vessel I was nicely surprised to see that under a thick layer of dust and dirt there is still plenty of healthy looking wood and dry bilges. The only wet section was the engine bay but this was due to the engine hatch being exposed to the elements.
This boat seems to be well preserved and makes a very good impression despite her age and the lack of any maintenance done to her over many years that she's spent at her mooring. Just like most wooden boats she feels very cosy and warm but my favourite part is the cockpit due to its high sided bulkheads and the fixed shelter make her feel very safe inside.
