Originally commissioned in 1959 to the higher spec of build quality from Parham's Yard, this carvel built folkboat features mahogany planks on American rock elm which has stood the test of time so well that there is not one split or doubled rib throughout the boat. A project boat in 1999, this was the subject of a painstaking restoration since then and has been rebuilt from the decks up meticulously.
New decks in marine ply, sheathed in fibreglass sheeting to seal. Complete new cockpit in iroko and with teak rubbing strip. New cockpit floors in oak, new coachroof sides in mahogany planks. New oak support beam in oak, Stainless pushpit, pulpit, new stem roller fittings, guard rails and stanchions. Galley was rebuilt to incorporate chart table. Transom virtually all replaced after some softness was identified in 2007 survey.

Broker's Comments
This is a seriously nice folkboat which has been subject to a complete overhaul by the vendor who is only the third owner from new. I can never believe how little these boats sell for compared to other boats and if as in this case you can find one which has been restored to such a high standard, they truly represent proper value for money. Add to this the fact that this boat sails like a witch and you cannot go wrong.
We have priced this for a quick sale as the owner has bought another boat to start working on and if you are at all interested in folk boats I would recommend this one thoroughly.
