Broker's Comments

The Sparta is a Quarter Ton cruiser/racer from the 70s and is basically a cut-down Achilles 24, with a sugar-scoop stern. From the rudder stock forward she is virtually identical except for a slightly deeper keel and taller rig. This example was the prototype and campaigned successfully by the builder, winning her class in Burnham Week. Since then she has had only 2 owners and the latest has lavished plenty of TLC on her. With a great sailing performance (helped along by a tasty mylar genoa), inboard engine and epoxied from new, she make a very nice little package.
