Broker's Comments

The Seamaster 23 Sailer bears all the Laurent Giles hallmarks that led them to draught the most prolific and successful small sailing yachts of the sixties and seventies. A thoroughly seamanlike design and build, incorporating lots of space for bunks and stowage, all on a 23 footer. A direct comparison may be made with the Westerly Pageant which might offer more 'caravan style' comfort in terms of fit out, but the little Seamaster has the advantage, in my view, when it comes to windward performance with her 5'6" lifting keel. This yacht is in exceptional condition for her age and has clearly been looked after by a competant (boat builder) owner. She is offered for sale with a month left on her marina berth and thereafter she will be laid up ashore in our yard. She is, in all respects, ready to go sailing. With her lifting keel and short yacht legs she can explore all the nooks and crannies, creeks and by-waters denied to other yachts. She has a reliable and thoroughly maintained Bukh motor.
