Broker's Comments
Chas A Purbrook Boatbuilders Ltd of Christchurch built the first Purbrook Heron in 1952, a big boat for them having been mainly built dinghies and day boats before. They did a good job, lots of them are still sailing including the first one and this fine lady, a slightly later build although she needs some varnish now is still in lovely condition for her age.
The Lister aircooled engine starts and runs beautifully and she has enough electronics to safely navigate the creeks only a centreboard yacht can truly enjoy. Down below she is comfortable for 2 with berths for 3 if required, has heads and cooking facilities and has so much character. She is pretty even out of the water and will turn heads wherever she sails
