Broker's Comments

The Folie Douce, so named up to 1975 and later, after 1975, it was known as a Brin de Folie, this sailboat was designed in the 1970's by the French maritime architects Philippe H. Harlé together with Jean-Marie Finot. Several hundred boats have been produced. The Brin de Folie is built by the French yard Jeanneau.

This is a reasonable example of a Folie Douce. This particular yacht was built in 1974 and appears in a sound, dry condition however, it would need some work to bring her back up to her former glory cosmetically.

There is evidence of some scratching on the side of the hull from a fender.

She appears to have a new engine fitted which can be seen running in the video section.

She would make a good starter yacht and a blank canvas to make changes. The main saloon area is wide and has plenty of headroom; going forward to the heads and fore cabin headroom is more restricted.

The yacht is being sold on behalf of the family and all offers would be considered.
