Broker's Comments
This little ship has passed through our hands a couple of times over the last decade, and each time she just seems to get better! Any yacht of this age, and especially one where wood is involved, is going to require maintenance and TLC. In her present ownership this has not been neglected and recent work includes: New tiller pilot,LED Tricolour 2014, New cockpit floor 2014, area of stb sidedeck replaced due to leaking stanchion foot, galley and lockers rebuilt.
The Falmouth Gypsy is a stout little yacht and exhudes the charm of 'days gone by' but having handled her myself I would consider her to be ideal for our local waters and easily handled by one or two people. She is 'just the job' for swallows and amazons to explore the drying creeks and harbours that abound around our beautiful coast. A sailing couple plus maybe one (or two if they're small) could have a lot of fun with this lovely traditional yacht.
