Broker's Comments

The Contessa 26 is a true classic from the mid sixties, born of a collaboration between Jeremy Rogers and David Sadler. It is a GRP development of the wooden Nordic Folk Boat. Folk boats and their derivatives are unequaled in their ability to cross oceans for a craft of such diminutive proportions. Safe, sea-kindly yet easily handled they make a fine first yacht for coastal cruising and more.

This example has the "old style layout" with the chart-table just inside the companionway. She has been recently subject to some renovation and the hull has been professionally resprayed although she would benefit from a little more TLC to bring her fully up to scratch.

A good first boat at an affordable price.
