Broker's Comments
Sometimes that little project boat comes up and I always think to myself- should I just buy this!? If I had more time I would of snapped this up straight away! This Colvic made boat was supplied just as a hull in 1973 and commission around 1977 after a large amount of work to make it the generous sized family sailing boat it is now.
Unfortunately she has been sat in a barn for the past 12 years just gathering dust, however looking at the interior you wouldn’t believe that this has been stored for that long!
The topside will definitely benefit from a decent clean, sanding and re varnishing but once done she could look as good as new. There is some damage with a large crack around the exhaust pipe however Perkins have always been very well known for being reliable so there’s a good chance that it should be repairable.
The owner had spent many many years sailing with his family on her and it really does make a great family boat, a secure cockpit as well as a really large amount of space in the saloon for 25 footer with all the basic necessities for a family trip.
She is going to need some time and love but can be restored to the true beauty that she was!
