Broker's Comments

Broker's Comments:

This 2006 Bavaria 30 is a well-equipped and meticulously maintained cruising yacht, ideal for sailors seeking comfort, reliability, and performance. Designed by J&J Design and built by Bavaria Yachts, this 9.47m sloop offers a perfect balance of sailing capability and liveaboard comfort, making her an excellent choice for coastal cruising and weekend adventures.

Powered by a 19hp Volvo Penta diesel engine (2006), with just 462 hours, she delivers dependable performance with a cruising speed of 5.5 knots and a maximum speed of 7.5 knots. Recent maintenance includes an engine service (December 2024), new propeller (August 2024), fresh antifouling (September 2024), and a new anode, ensuring she’s in excellent mechanical condition.

The GRP hull with a fin keel provides stability and responsive handling, while the Selden aluminium mast and stainless steel rigging support a slab-reefed Elvström mainsail with lazy jacks and a furling headsail (2006). The cockpit features both wheel and tiller steering, offering flexibility for different sailing styles, and is complemented by electric Lewmar windlass, CQR anchor with 50m chain, and a windvane self-steering system for effortless cruising.

Below deck, the spacious and practical interior accommodates six berths across two cabins, with 1.85m headroom, a manual heads, shower, and a two-burner gas stove. Additional comforts include 12V and 240V shore power systems, 90L fuel and 120L water tanks, and a pressurised hot water system.

The yacht is well-equipped for navigation with Raymarine A70 chartplotter, ST60 wind/depth/log instruments, DSC VHF, and an ST4000 autopilot. Safety features include two bilge pumps (manual and electric), life buoys, and a boarding ladder.

Extras include an O2 Lite inflatable dinghy (2020) with a 2.5hp Suzuki outboard, cockpit cushions, sprayhood, and sail cover, making her ready for immediate enjoyment.

Having been owned for 19 years and primarily sailed on the Clyde, this one-owner yacht is now available due to personal circumstances. With recent upgrades and a comprehensive inventory, she represents exceptional value for her class.
