Boatshed Bourgogne and Boatshed MidiCanals proudly announce that they have been officially recognised by the Federation des Industries Nautiques (the French equivalent of the BMF). After a meeting of regional delegates the application was approved for both Boatshed brands and the provisional membership transformed into full member status. Both Magali and Graham were delighted with the news. “It is very gratifying that the French industry federation recognises our Boatshed operation on the inland waterways of France after such a short period of time” said Graham. “This is very heartening encouragement for us and lends French marine industry credibility to both the Boatshed Bourgogne and Boatshed Midicanals brands”. Brokerage is not a common concept in France especially on the inland waterways. There is a huge communications task before us in order to gain the confidence already enjoyed and merited by other Boatshed organisations around the world. As professional boat brokers on the French inland waterways we are determined to prove that the unique Boatshed blend of attentive service, local knowledge and world beating technology are an effective alternative to traditional boat sales solutions and that dealing with Boatshed brokers will make boat sales and boat buying a more secure and pleasurable experience. The endorsement from the Federation des Industries Nautiques gives much appreciated national recognition and encouragement to both brands.

One of the real plusses of an organisation like Boatshed is the breadth and depth of our Brokers’ knowledge and experience. We’ve crossed more starting and finishing lines on more boats than you can begin to imagine and on our listings you will find everything from racing dinghies and catamarans to Americas Cup yachts and single handed round the world Open 60s. We have raced round the cans, round the Fastnet rock and round the world. We love every aspect of boating, but some of us are properly infected with the racing bug!

How does a Newporter know it’s spring? It could be the flock of daffodils as you enter America’s Cup Blvd. Maybe it’s the trees and gardens in full bloom along Bellevue Avenue. For some it could be their first cocktail on the patio at O’Brien’s Pub.
Watch out! Brixham is being invaded by Pirates. Yes, Sunday 2nd May saw hundreds of Pirates descend on Brixham Harbour to meet up for thier annual get together. Many more people and a few parrots also joined in to watch the festivities, listen to traditional sea shanties and enjoy a great day out in beautiful Brixham. Film crews were also there to record the event and make a documentary to be shown later.

I would like to say hello to my new colleagues Boatshed brokers, customers, and all other boat lovers. Some of you already know that I am recently finished my training in Boatshed HQ and spent few wonderful days in Portsmouth. Now I am ready to start Boatshed Croatia office and to introduce Boatshed brand in Croatia. Regarding that my first duty will be to perform necessary marketing activities and advertise Boatshed Croatia in national nautical magazines and boat shows. Of course I have also planned to be present in Croatian marinas and ports and on disposition to owners and customers as many and possible. Because of its attractiveness and good transport connections, in last several years Croatian Adriatic coast becomes one of most popular cruising areas in Europe so I expect that it will become also new homeport for many new boat owners from UK and other countries. They are welcomed, lot of quality boats here are expecting new crew!
